Bassett - Oscar William ASHLEY, 71, retired welder, died Saturday at St.
Francis Hospital in Memphis. Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Swift
Funeral Home with burial in Bassett Cemetery. He was a Baptist.

ASHLEY, husband of Lorraine ASHLEY, also leaves two sons, William ASHLEY of
Covert, Mich., and Roy ASHLEY of Benton Harbor, Mich.; two sisters, Mrs.
Carlene EDMONDS of Lake City, Fla., and Mrs. Gilly WRIGHT of Memphis; four
brothers, William ASHLEY and Grady ASHLEY, both of Pontiac, Mich., Leroy
ASHLEY of Goshen, Ind., and Allen ASHLEY of Louisville, Ga.; eight
grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
