John Collins "Jake" BALTON, 56 of Wilson, husband of state Rep. Nancy Crain
BALTON, died last night at Methodist Central Hospital. He was a farmer and
owner of an antique shop at Wilson.

Besides his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Rebecca Ann BALTON of
Little Rock; a son, James Crain BALTON of Wilson; a brother, Frank T.
BALTON Jr. of Memphis; and two sisters, Mrs. Gracemary RUTSTEIN and Mrs.
Sheila ROBINSON, both of Memphis.

Services will be Sunday at 2:30 p.m. in Wilson United Methodist Church, the
Rev. Sam LONG and the Rev.Raymond HOLLIS officiating. Burial will be in
Bassett Cemetery under the direction of Memphis Funeral Home on Union
Avenue.

Family members will receive visitors tonight from 7 to 9 at the funeral
home. The body will lie in state at Wilson United Methodist Church,
beginning at 1:30 p.m. Sunday.
