All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm *********************************************************** (Memphis [TN] Commercial Appeal; Tuesday, August 27, 1985) Joiner, Ark. - Services will be today for Norman Alfred BENNETT, 64, retired farmer, who died Sunday at Osceola Memorial Hospital after a one-car accident on Arkansas 77 in Mississippi County. Arkansas State Police officials said Mr. BENNETT was traveling south on Arkansas 77, one mile south of the Arkansas 14 intersection, when he apparently lost control of his pickup truck. The vehicle ran off the road and overturned twice. Mr. BENNETT was not wearing a seatbelt. Services will be at 2 p.m. at Swift Funeral Home in Osceola with burial in Louise Chapel Cemetery here. He leaves two daughters, Mrs. Debra Kae CLIFTON and Mrs. Jackie SMITH, both of Joiner; four sons, Norman Alfred BENNETT Jr. of Monroe, La., Alfred Lee BENNETT of Baton Rouge, La., Bobby Cleveland BENNETT of Marked Tree and Ronald Keith BENNETT of Joiner; a sister, Mrs. Virgina McCOLLUM of Batesville; two brothers, Gene BENNETT of Byhalia, Miss., and D.W. BENNETT of Joiner, and 10 grandchildren.
