Funeral services for John Hunter CROOK, 72, of Joiner, were held Thursday,
Dec. 4, at Joiner Methodist Church, with Rev. Guy HUNT officiating. Burial
was in Bassett Cemetery.

Mr. CROOK died Tuesday, Dec. 2 at Crittenden Memorial Hospital in West
Memphis. He was a retired farmer, a Mason, a member of the Joiner Methodist
Church and had lived in Joiner since 1950.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Nina CROOK; two daughters, Betty SCAIFE,
Nigeria, and Mrs. Sue WINNEY, Gonzales, La.; one step-daughter, Mrs. Jack
CHANDLER, Wilson; two stepsons, Jim SPECK, Frenchman's Bayou, Jerry L.
SPECK, Memphis; three sisters, Lura EUBANKS, Marion, Mrs. Amy DANIEL,
Atlanta, Ga., Mrs. Mabel McKINSTRY, Atlanta; two brothers, Lowry CROOK and
Bill CROOK, both of Dallas; and 10 grandchildren. Citizens Funeral Home of
West Memphis was in charge.
