Joe Thomas DEAN, 90, of Joiner, died August 4, 1989 at the Mississippi
County Hospital in Osceola. He was a member of Joiner Methodist Church and
past mayor of Joiner for 18 consecutive years. Survivors include two sons,
Jerry DEAN of Jasper, Texas, and James DEAN of Osceola; one daughter, Betty
Jo GREEN of Newport; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Graveside services were held at 4 p.m. Sunday, August 6, 1989 at
Mississippi County Memorial Gardens in Osceola with Rev. Eddie CLEMONS
officiating. Roller-Swift Funeral Home of Osceola was in charge.
