Failed to record the newspaper on this one, but it was probably the Wednesday, Oct. 6 edition of the Osceola [AR] Times) Mrs. Mamie JoAnn EUDY, of Joiner died at the Baptist Hospital in Memphis Wednesday, September 29. She was born in Tyronza, April 1, 1923 and was 59. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and was librarian for seven years at Wilson Public Library. Her husband Ray Jesse EUDY died Tuesday, September 28 at Osceola Memorial Hospital. He was born July 24, 1920 at Phil Campbell, Ala. and was 62. He was retired from the U.S. Army after 24 years service. He was a Methodist. Joint funeral services were conducted Friday afternoon, Oct. 1 at the Joiner First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Bill WATSON officiating. Burial was in the Bassett Cemetery under the direction of Swift Funeral Home. The couple leaves a daughter, Mrs. Sally Raye BENNETT of Joiner and one grandchild. Mrs. Eudy leaves a brother, Sam Rushing of West Memphis and a sister, Mrs. Martha Neil CLARK of Frenchman Bayou. Mr. Eudy leaves three brothers, Joe Harold EUDY of Hartsville, Ala., Roland EUDY of Florrisant, MO. and Bruce EUDY of California and three sisters, Mrs. Velma PRINCE of California, Mrs. Ollie Jean MATLOCK of Phoenix, Ariz. and Mrs. Hazle JACKSON of Hackleburg, Ala.
