Born in Hardin County, Tenn., he had been a resident of Mississippi County since 1932. He was a Baptist and a veteran of World War II. He leaves three daughters, Mrs. Alta TAYLOR of Manila, Polly Ann FRANKS of Blytheville and Mary Ann FRANKS of Dexter; one son, Jackie FRANKS of Manila; two brothers, Jack FRANKS of Memphis and Calvin FRANKS of Manila; three sisters, Mrs. Una WHITE of Joiner, Mrs. Ruby JOHNSON of Flint and Mrs. Marie MOFIELD of Haines City, Fla.; eleven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday in Cobb Funeral Home chapel, the Rev. William PIERCY officiating. Burial will be in Bassett Cemetery.
