GILL, 90, a retired carpenter, died Tuesday in Chickasawba Hospital. Born in Dyer County, Tenn., he had lived in Blytheville for the past 65 years and was a member of the 13th and Main Street Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Gertrude Pace GILL, and by a son, Lt. Richard Verdain GILL, killed in action during World War II. Surviving are two sones, John DESMOND of Saxon, Penn., and James H. GILL of Blytheville; Two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. in Cobb Funeral Home chapel, Mr. Leonard WHITE officiating, with burial in Elmwood Cemetery.
