C.L. LUCIUS, 83, owner of Lucius Furniture Store, died Saturday in
Chickasawba Hospital. He was born in Webster County, Miss. and has lived in
Blytheville since 1923. He was a member of Gosnell Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mary Hardin LUCIUS of Blytheville; Two
sons, W.F. "Sonny" LUCIUS of Wilson and James E. "Buddy" LUCIUS of Osceola;
Four daughters, Mrs. Ray LEDBETTER, Mrs. Jewell "Sissy" VERNON, and Mrs.
Jeanie FRENCH, all of Blytheville, and Mrs. Shirley LANE of Gosnell; Three
brothers, Joe LUCIUS of Marmaduke, Finis LUCIUS of Blytheville, and Alfred
LUCIUS of Oakland, Calif.; Three sisters, Mrs. Ollie WADE of Kennett, Mrs.
Virgie HILL of Vardamon, Miss. and Mrs. Lorene HILLHOUSE of Jonesboro;
Thirteen grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Services were today at 1:30 p.m. in Cobb Funeral Home chapel, the Rev.
Steve MILLER and the Rev. Eddie CLEMONS officiating, with burial in Elmwood
Cemetery.
