She was a homemaker and a Baptist. She was the widow of Grady MASSEY, Sr. who preceded her in death in 1984. She is survived by four sons, Oliver and Grady MASSEY Jr., both of Osceola, Paul MASSEY of Memphis and Bryan MASSEY of Dyess; Three daughters, Mrs. Shelby AMMONS, Mrs. Gay AYCOCK and Mrs. Sara CARLTON, all of Osceola; Two brothers, Orbie and Murphy, both of Bear Creek, Ala.; Seven sisters, Mrs. Sue CHISM and Mrs. Frances CREECY, both of Osceola, Mrs. Jewel ARNOLD, Mrs. Pearl ELROD, Mrs. Ruby BEATTY and Mrs. Myrtice WILLIAMS, all of Bassett, and Mrs. Ruby GREGG of Joiner; Twenty grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. Services will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Swift Colonial Chapel, the Rev. Tommy WRIGHT officiating. Interment will be at Mississippi County Memorial Gardens. (Osceola [AR] Times; Thursday, January 23 1986) Mrs. Minnie Loraine MASSEY of Osceola died Wednesday, January 15 at the Osceola Memorial Hospital. She was born January 5, 1918, in Alabama; she was 66. She was a homemaker and a member of the Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Grady MASSEY IN 1984. She is survived by four sons, Oliver MASSEY and Grady MASSEY Jr., both of Osceola, Paul MASSEY of Memphis and Bryan MASSEY of Dyess; three daughters, Mrs. Shelby AMMONDS, Mrs. Gay AYCOCK and Mrs. Sarah CARLTON, all of Osceola. Survivors also include two brothers, Orbie SHIRLEY and Murphy SHIRLEY, both of Bearcreek, Ala.; seven sisters, Mrs. Sue CHISM and Francis CREECY, both of Osceola, Jewel ARNOLD, Pearl ELROD, Ruth BEATTY and Myrtice WILLIAMS, all of Bassett, and Ruby GREGG of Joiner; 20 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Services were held Friday, Jan. 17 at the Swift Colonial Chapel by the Rev. Tommy WRIGHT and interment at the Mississippi County Memorial Gardens. Swift Funeral Home was in charge.
