Mr. Pascal Douglas Maynard Jr, 64 of Leachville died Wednesday,
10-22-1997 at St. Bernard's Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro.  He
was born Aug. 10, 1933 in Leachville, the son of Pascal and Katie Lee
Maynard.  Mr. Maynard ws a former mayor of Leachville.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Julia Maynard,
and a son, Douglas Maynard, II.

Mr. Maynard leaves his wife, Mrs. Pat Hetler Maynard of the home; one
son, Gary Don Maynard of Conway; one daughter, Mrs. Julia Brown of
Monette; one step-son, Tim Walker of Leachville; two step daughters,
Candy Thompson of Leachville and Lora Moore of Monette.

Also, one brother, Robert Maynard of Lake of the Ozarks, MO; two
sisters, Melba June Hogland of Lake of the Ozarks and Barbara Ann
Jolliff of Little Rock; and four grandchildren, five step grandchildren
and one gr-grandson.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11am Saturday in the Howard
Funeral Chapel in Leachville.  The Rev. Jerry Kausler will officiate,
and burial will follow in the Leachville Cemetery.

The family will receive visitors from 6-8:30 pm today at the funeral
home.
