He was born in Cave City, AR and had lived in Wethersfield 33 years. He retired in 1974 from Arrow-Hart & Hagerman Co., Hartford, CT where he had worked 28 years. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of Blinded Veterans Ass. He was an honorary member of the Melha Temple, Legion of Honor, Spring-field, MS. He was past patron of OES Chapter 115 in Newington. He was a member of Internation Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local Union 1013. Besides his wife, he leaves a son, Thomas Dean Rodgers, serving with the Army stationed in Hiedelberg, West Germany, a daughter, Mrs. Sandra Smiley of Barrington, RI; two sisters Ruth Durham of Manila, AR and Myrtle Barricklow of Coloma, MI.
