Mr. Joe SCOTT, 74, of Bassett died Sunday, Sept. 11, at Memphis. Born May
16, 1920 in Hamilton, Ala., he was a retired farmer and member of the
Joiner Church of Christ.

Survivors include his wife, Lucille SCOTT of Bassett; seven daughters,
Diane PATE of Dyess, Libby SCOTT of Bassett, Cathryn SCOTT of Joiner,
Shirley KING of Wilson, Patsy YOUNG of Blytheville, and Wanda VAUGHN and
Betty SUSSEX of Adrain, Mich.; two sons, Steve SCOTT of Bassett and
Douglass SCOTT of Tecumseh, Mich.; two brothers, George SCOTT of Hamilton
and Belford SCOTT of Cincinnati; 22 grandchildren and 18 great-
grandchildren.

Funeral services are Wednesday, Sept. 14, at the Church of Christ in Joiner
at 2 p.m., with Bro. Lee DUNN officiating. Burial will be in the Bassett
Cemetery. Roller-Swift Funeral home of Osceola is in charge of
arrangements.
