Box 561 Little Rock, Arkansas 72203 Sponsors of THE ARKANSAS SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA VASILIOS PRIKOS Music Director and Administrator April 7, 1966 JEAN WHITEHEAD ADAMS TO BE FEATURED WITH ARKANSAS SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA Vasilios Priakos, Music Director of the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra, who has been hailed as a "dynamo" by the press, will conduct that organization in the fourth and final event of this season's concert series on Sunday, April 17, 3:30 P.M., Robinson Memorial Auditorium, Markham & Broadway, Little Rock. Jean Whitehead Adams, principal cellist of the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra, will be the featured soloist in Saint-Saens concerto for cello and orchestra. Mrs. Adams is well known in musical circles throughout Arkansas and to many professional musicians outside the state. A member of the music faculty of Arkansas State Teachers College since 1951, she has given numerous outstanding performances in Arkansas and other states as a soloist and ensemble player in the ASTC Faculty Trio and other ensembles. Maestro Priakos predicts that her performance of this concerto will be outstanding.
