H. Duncan 218 S. Fairfax Street, Alexandria, Virginia Candidate for President General April, 1962 National Society Daughters of the American Revolution Campaign Manager for Wisconsin Mrs. Rudolph Lange 115 Vine Street Delavan, Wisconsin September 1961 Dear Chapter Regent and DAR Member: Although you are already familiar with the candidacy announcement of Mrs. Robert V. H. Duncan of Virginia and her slate, it is a pleasure to me, as Chairman, to write you direct, on a personal basis in their behalf. Based on her record of over 29 years outstanding service to our National Society, in addition to prominence merited through activity in civic and professional fields, Mrs. Duncan's background and experience pre-eminently qualify her for the office of President General. Mindful of her ability to think clearly and with broad vision, her fidelity to principle and her gracious personality, those who know and have worked with her, enthusiastically endorse her, believing she will provide the constructive, positive leadership needed for the future. In choosing her Associates, Mrs. Duncan gave care and attention to selecting "the right person for the right post". The result is an exceedingly strong ticket composed of individual candidates whose special talents, abilities and service ideally fit them for the office sought. Our State and Division is highly pleased and honored to have MRS. FRANK LESLIE HARRIS on the DUNCAN slate. Mrs. Harris is Candidate for the office of Organizing Secretary General. Her record of accomplishments qualify her for this office. At the September meeting of the Racine Chapter, of which Mrs. Harris is a member, she was unanimously endorsed for the office of Organizing Secretary General. Mrs. Harris' record of over 30 years service to Chapter, State and National Society qualifies her for this office. As past Vice President General, 1958-61, and as present National Chairman of Membership, our Society has admitted over 10,000 new members last year. Mrs. Harris not only has tirelessly worked to build up DAR membership but has encouraged CAR and Junior Membership. In conclusion, may I solicit your support for the entire DUNCAN Ticket? For further information, please read the Duncan Associates Brochure or write me for specific material. Hoping you will come to Congress in Washington, April 1962 and meet our candidates personally, I am Sincerely, Martha L.
