Goodlett Memphis 17, Tenn. April 1, 1966 Miss Lily Peter Route 2 Marvell, Arkansas Dear Miss Lily: Even though my information is so scanty that I don't know just where you are or how badly you were hurt, I do want to wish you a full and rapid recovery with a minimum of discomfort as a result of the automobile accident you had several days ago. My information is that you were taken to the hospital at Helena, and that you suffered some broken bones and other injuries. This would seem to indicate that probably you are still in the hospital, but since I do not know I am sending this note to your home in the hope that perhaps the good doctors have installed the proper braces and casts, and let you get back to your own house. I know you are bound to be disappointed at the cancellations which the accident will necessitate in the schedule you had planned to carry out this spring, but I also know that you are the kind of person and have the sort of philosophy which can take that disappointment in stride. Wishing you the best, and with kindest personal regards, I am Sincerely yours, Ed Lipscomb EL:llc File at: http://files.usgwarchives.net/ar/monroe/history/letters/peterlip127gms.txt This file has been created by a form at http://www.genrecords.org/arfiles/ File size: 1.7 Kb
