He said you had no temperature, and that you had been sitting up! Wonderful! We have been having spring weather for some days, but last night the weather turned cold again, and the wind is HIGH! Whew! It's a very good day to stay indoors! Before Ethel left for school she said, "You stay in, out of this wind." Mrs. Riley who lives across the street from us, has hardening of the arteries to such an extent that someone must stay with her. Mrs. Haynes is with her now. Mrs. Haynes told me that she has lived in Falfurrias for 33 years. We walked around our block last evening, but I think we will not do that today. I think only one branch of Ethel's "bird of Paradise" is alive. The rest was frozen. My sweet peas stood the freezes of winter time but there are no blooms yet. On my place card at the dinner Ethel gave last week, was a picture of a cunning little girl with a wheelbarrow full of shamrocks. These were the lines on the card: "Faith, and 'tis the shamrock Brings the Irish luck, you know, So this ought to keep you lucky For a hundred years or so." Ethel and I both send you our hearts' love, and wishes for a hundred years of good luck.
