Lily Darling,

     I am very glad to tell you that yesterday the $5,000.00 Government bond 
came that I had ordered, and today I received from Mr. Dowell the utilities 
stock I bought, and both of these purchases were made possible by the marvelous 
check you sent me, my darling! Let me thank you again for your wonderful help!

     Today I had a letter from Doris, and she told me that Rita Crisp has a 
baby son, and that Judy Hartsfield has a baby daughter. Two new citizens in our 
community!

     I have pre-registered for the course in plastics for spring semester and I 
hope I can make a few attractive things.

     All of us are trying to get ready for the final exams, and I  had better 
study now.

     I love you dearly.
