Dear Miss Peter,
   Congress is getting so close - I always begin to get panicky about this time 
for fear I won't be ready in time.
   I've thought of you and your amazing talents so much - Have meant to write 
but get so involved myself. I intended to tell you right away how much I 
enjoyed your "Music Magazine" Can't remember if I wrote or not.
   Im naturally looking forward to meeting Mrs. Wagner and the Nat'l Vice Ch on 
the Music Comm. Altho Im now on the Transportation Comm - My first love is of 
course, the Music Committee.
   Im singing at the National Chairmen's Breakfast on Easter Sunday morning - 
and it was really an effort to be away from home on Easter Sunday - Im soloist 
in the Methodist choir - which meets at 9:00 a m. and I direct a Sr. & Jr. 
choir at the Presbyterian which starts at 10:30. So had to get substitutes for 
all that before I could plan on getting away.
   Our Indiana Tea is on Mon. afternoon - but Im skipping it to attend the 
music meeting. It will be so nice to see you again. All the numbers to be sung 
are ones my Ensemble has done - with the exception of the Moravian number. Im 
so glad the chorus is to sing at night. I really tried to get Mrs. Haig to give 
us a night spot but just couldn't get her to do it. I just returned from a week 
at the Waldorf in N.Y.C. with my husband - Im writing this in the hotel coffee 
shop here in Bloomington, Ind waiting for him to finish a meeting here - wonder 
if Ill ever get back to my flower gardens!   Love Nira Stone
