Deaton family arrived in Monroe Co., AR after the 1900 Census was taken as they were still in Montgomery Co., NC at that time. In the early 1970s Helen sent out queries to family kin and with their input, along with census records, courthouse visits, and cemetery records she developed the Moore King Deaton Family Tree Book. In the late 1970s many of her kin attended a Family Reunion in Missouri and we were able to purchase these valuable family records. Forever grateful to Helen for her hard work and what a pleasure it was to have know her and Richard. Mary Ann Kirkpatrick email Kirk1111@aol.com
