King, which occured at his home Dec. 3rd, after an illness of flue and pneumonia. The remains were laid to rest at White Church in the presence of a large crowd of sorrowing friends and relatives. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. H. W. Scott Mr King was a member of the Baptist Church at Bethlehelm, where he was converted five years ago and has been ever since a faithful member. He did all he could for the betterment of his neighborhood and will be greatly missed. He leaves a wife and four daughters, Melva and Pauline King, Mrs George Collins and Mrs Bob Morgan, one brother Dallas King to mourn his loss. Weep not, dear ones, for he has gone where all is peace and rest and let's all try and be ready to meet him when the Lord will see fit to call us home. Note: His daughter Melva changed her name to Mildred. Mrs George Collins, was his dau. Olivia King Collins and Mrs Bob Morgan was his dau. Christine King Morgan. John Marion King was the son of William Wesley King b. 1846 MS, d.1880 Monroe Co., AR and Mary Rheuark King b.1843 MS, d. aft 1882. He married Emma Josephine Brakefield b. 3/13/1880 Monroe Co., AR, d. 1/7/1966 Jeff. Co., AL.
