The deceased was one of the oldest settlers of the Indian Bay neighborhood. He is the last old settler in the vicinity in which he lived. Mr. Pointer leaves behind him four children -- Mrs. Dick Mayo, Mrs. Dr. Hall, of Turner, Miss Ethel and Ed. Mr. Pointer had a very fine landed estate which was very valuable before the overflows became so destructive in the Indian Bay section, which has ruined the once garden spot of Monroe county, in fact it could not be beat in the state for agricultural purposes." ********************************************************************************
