All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ******************************************************************************** The Brinkley Argus, Monroe Co., AR, August 22, 1963 DOC WIESLE, 75, DIED WEDNESDAY [8/21/63] Rosary services will be held tonight (Thursday) at 7:30 at the Midkiff Funeral Home chapel for John Leo (Doc) Wiesle Sr., age 75, who died early yesterday morning at the Little Rock Veterans Hospital. Requiem High Mass will be said tomorrow, Friday morning, at 9:00 at St. John's Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery with Midkiff Funeral Home in charge. Mr. Wiesle suffered a heart attack several weeks ago and never recovered. He had been a resident of Brinkley for 45 years. He was a veteran of World War I, a legionaire, and a member of St. John's Catholic Church. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Elizabeth Wiesle; 4 sons, John Jr., Joe & Clarence, all of Brinkley, & Tommy Wiesle of Little Rock; 5 daughters, Mrs. Kathryn Miles of Jacksonville, Mrs. Theresa Jackson of Liberal, Kansas, Mrs. Pauline Willcut of St. Louis, Mrs. Angela Hinton of Brinkley, and Mrs. Mary Ann Boyd of Berkshire, England; 23 grandchildren; a brother, Joe Wiesle of Brinkley; three sisters, Mrs. Anna Binz of Paris, Ark., Mrs. Cecilia Baumgartner of Dallas, Texas and Mrs. Ida Deuerling of Little Rock. Mr. Wiesle was a blacksmith by trade, and operated a successfulbusiness here the past 45 years. ********************************************************************************
