"There were letters from them to Joshua Shields. The Robersons lived at Dutch Mills,
AR in 1882 and were moving to Pauls Valley in the Chickasaw Nation about that
time."

"We do not know where the Shields' came from before Missouri. From the letters in
the Bible, Joshua moved his family to Fancy Hill in Montgomery County, AR., and his
oldest daughter, Margaret, was married and stayed behind in Dutch Mills, Arkansas. I
don't know what year Joshua moved South, but it was probably during the Civil War.
Since Margaret was born in 1845, she would have been of an age to marry by the
1860s."

This is a letter written by Peggy Shields to Hazel Shields in 1970 in which she took
the text of the Shields Family Bible record and copied it to the letter. Additional
information (seen here in quotes) was written in by Peggy. The information in
parenthesis was added by Hazel.
