Born November 10, 1908 in Arkadelphia, she was a member of First Methodist Church of Prescott and the widow of Brad B. Ward. There are no survivors. Graveside services and burial were held Wednesday, January 3, at DeAnn Cemetery in Prescott with Rev. Jerry Westmoreland officiating, under the direction of Brazzel-Cornish Funeral Home of Prescott. _________ Maida F. Smith Maida F. Smith, 85, of Kansas City, Mo., died Wednesday, January 3, 1996, at her home. Born January 8, 1910, in Nevada County, she was a resident of Nevada County until 1954 when she moved to Kansas City. She was the widow of Hobert Smith and was preceded in death by a son, George Smith. Survivors include four daughters, Norma Harris of Kansas City, Mo., Margaret Barham of Cale, Mary Ann Stewart of Prescott and Judy Cook of Alvin, Texas; a son, Richard Smith of Texarkana; 12 grandsons; 10 great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren. Burial was in Mount Moriah Cemetery. __________ Aleene Harris Aleene Harris, 79, of Prescott died Thursday, January 4, 1996, in Hope. Born October 13, 1916, in Prescott, she was a Baptist and a foster grandparent at the Nevada County Day Care Center in Prescott. Survivors include a son, Edward Harris of Fort Smith; a daughter, Carolyn Cummings of Prescott; a brother, Bill Brown of Mabelville; and two sisters, Octavine Jeffcoat and Gertrude Sobka, both of Hazen. Wilson, 68, of Prescott died Friday, January 5, 1996, in the VA Hospital in Dallas, Texas. Born September 8, 1927, in Sheridan he was a tow boat captain for Dixie Carriers, veteran of World War II, the Korean War and was in the Merchant Marines. He was a member of the Church of Christ in Onalaska, Texas. Survivors include his wife, Abbie Wilson of Prescott; a daughter, Lisa Adkison of South Lake, Texas; a brother, Conrad Wilson; four sisters, Era Mae Weeks, Peggy Cusick and Gean Simmons and Dorothy Nell Chrestman, all of Benton; and three grandchildren. Born November 25, 1929, in Michigan City, Ind., he was the son of the late Frank Everly and Ana Shultz Everly, and a millwright for Deltic Farm and Timber. Survivors include his wife, Rosemary Everly of Rosston; two daughters, Susan Clements of Conway and Joyce Price of Idabel, Okla.; two brothers, Ted Everly and Cecil Everyl, both of Michigan City, Ind.; two grandsons; and one great grandchild. Born August 22, 1948, at Texarkana to Gerald and Juanita Goff, she was a 1966 graduate of Arkansas High School and received a degree in French and English from the University of Arkansas in 1970. She taught high school French in Jacksonville before moving to Fayetteville in 1979. She had served on the Fayetteville Planning Commission and on the city board of directors and was also a member of the Washington County Historical Society, League of Women Voters and Garden Club Council. She was employed by Welcome Wagon and manager of the organization's six-state southern region. Survivors include a daughter, Melissa of the home; and a son, Will of the home; her parents, Gerald and Juanita Goff of Texarkana; a brother, Bill Goff of Texarkana; a sister, Becky McClintock of Texarkana; and a number of nieces and nephews. Survivors include his wife, Ohel Daniell of Prescott; three daughters, Lauvenia Hinson of Little Rock and Myra Peachey and Joyce Martin, both of Prescott; three sisters, Clara Mae Carter of Clarendon, Texas, Laoice `Ted' Carter of Sherman, Texas, and Mavis Loe of Lake of the Pines, Texas; 16 grandchildren; and 16 great grandchildren. A native of Iowa, she was an accountant and a longtime member of Sweet Adelines. Survivors include her husband, Willie Norman of Prescott; six daughters, Leslie De LaRosa of Bishop, Calif., Barbara Nicoletta of San Jose, Calif., Stephanie Ford of Santee, Calif., Robin Zolezzi of San Jose, Calif., Dianna Montague of Sacramento, Calif., and Andrea Elliot of Campbell, Calif.; 13 grandchilren; and five great grandchildren. Burial was in Sweet Home Cemetery near Prescott. __________ Viola Walker Viola Greening Walker, 87, of Camden, died Monday, January 8, 1996. Born August 7, 1918, in Ouachita County, she was the daughter of the late Granville and Ludie Lee Morris Greening. She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church where she served as financial clerk, treasurer of the Missionary Society., deaconess and took an active part in all activities at the church. She was the widow of Junious Walker. Survivors include two daughters, Bernice Lamar of Chidester and Ruby Reed of Camden; a son, Willie Clyde Walker of Pine Bluff; 11 grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren. Ward, 77, of Salinas, Calif., formerly of Prescott, died Saturday, January 6, 1996, at Salinas Valley Memorial Hospital. Born in Prescott on October 17, 1918, she had lived in Salinas for 39 years. Before her retirement she was a shed worker for A&P Produce Company, a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Salinas Moose Lodge, the Spokes Car Club of Salinas and the senior bowling league at Valley Center. Survivors include her husband, James Ward; two sons, William of Texarkana, Texas, and Richard of Hollister, Calif.; five grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
