Please do not ask for lookups. updated 29 Nov 2002 *********************************************************************** NOTE: There is a township map included in each Township Book that I have published but some folks are not sure just where certain settlements were located. The outlines of the townships are very clear on the Township Map , but the towns or settlements are not that clear. These are the township areas as they appeared in 1900. The maps I have presently show the townships in 1920, so the areas were different in 1900. For instance, Jackson Township in 1900 covered a much broader area than in 1910 or 1920. In 1910 there was even more change in townships. That is why using the 1900 Surname Index is more important than trying to figure out which settlement was in which township. ********************************************************************** 1900 NEWTON COUNTY, ARKANSAS CENSUS PLUS TOWNSHIP BOOKS SURNAME INDEX BIG CREEK TOWNSHIP (Covers Mt.
