Arnold Loescher, 86, of Jasper, died Saturday, Nov. 14 (2009) at his home. He
was born Sept. 5, 1923, in Rumbach, Pfalz, Germany, a son of Friedrich Karl and
Karolina (Gruesy) Loescher. He moved to Newton County in 1965 from Indiana. He
co-owned and operated the Scenic Point Gift Shop until 1975. He also owned The
Squirrel Shop in Jasper.

Arnold was a member of the Jasper United Methodist Church.

Survivors are a sister in Germany and many friends in Newton and Boone counties.
