SUSAN I. SALMON OF BASS DIES
     Mrs. Susan I. Salmon, 80, of Bass and a lifelong resident of Newton 
County, died February 2 at her home.  She was born October 27, 1886 at 
Davis Creek, a daughter of Johnnie and Elizabeth Dickey Hamilton.  She 
was a member of the Church of Christ.
     Survivors include three sons, J. M. Salmon, and N. L. Salmon of Bass,
A. L. Salmon of Sunnyvale, Calif.; a sister, Mrs. M. D. Kuykendall of
Walnut Creek, Calif.; six grandchildren and one great grandchild.
     Funeral services were held February 7 at Bass with burial in
McCutcheon Cemetery.
