JOHN WILLIS STRONG DIES
  John Willis Strong, 83, resident of Harrison for four years died August -1.  He
was a retired farmer and stockman of Newton County.  He was born January 5, 1879
in Lincoln County, Tenn., a son of John and Matty George Strong.  He was a
member of the AFM and the Odd Fellows.
  Survivors include three sons, Bulah and Hugh Strong of Harrison, John Strong of
Galveston, Texas; two daughters, Mrs. Opal Brkich of San Pedro, Calif. and Mrs.
Clara Kent of Springfield, MO.; seven grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and
three great great grandchildren.
  Funeral services and burial occurred at Mt. Judea.
