This cemetery is located on Old Wire Road east of Stephens. At least seven graves were found and there may be more. Two graves are surrounded by a wall of rocks with a rock divider between the graves. Some old bricks form part of the border. Most of the markers are broken and some pieces could not be found. Directions: From Stephens, go east on Rd. # 2 (Pace City Road) 2.7 miles to a crossroads. Turn right on Rd. # 9 and go 1.3 miles. The cemetery is located on the right side of the road on top of a hill. This record was made May 8, 2000 by Jerry McKelvy. Arnold, John H. – b. 5-2-1777 --- d. ???? ; marker is broken Arnold, Lou. G. – b. 7-23-1843--- d. 7-24-1859; wife of John B. Arnold; stone is off base and had fallen about three feet into the grave depression. I used a hand winch to lift the marker out of grave and left it lying next to the base. (Unknown) – Two graves surrounded by a rock wall; a piece of John H. Arnold’s marker was found here along with other pieces of stones of a different color. Someone may have placed broken pieces of markers here so they would not be lost. (Unknown) – Another grave with base of marker present (Unknown) – A top off what appears to be a child’s grave marker was found I cut the brush from around these graves on May 9, 2000 with hope that I could locate other graves markers, but found none. Judging from the depressions, I think there are at least eight graves here.
