The cemetery being used now is next to the church. The grove of hardwood trees is surrounded by a pine plantation planted in 1992. The property belonged to International Paper Co. at that time and they purposely left the hardwood trees as a buffer around the cemetery. There are probably many graves here as evidenced by the indentions in the soil. Driving directions: Turn right on Church Rd. just north of Shady Grove Baptist Church and go about 200 feet. A dim trail to the left leads to the cemetery, but you may not be able to drive all the way. Only two markers were found that could be identified.
