At a called meeting of Perryville Lsige No. 238 F. and A.M., held at the lodge room in the town of Perryville, county of Perry, state of Arkansas, on the 4th day march, 1875, for the purpose of attending the burial of BRO. AARON PRICE, the following resolutions were adotped: WHEREAS, it hath pleased the All-wise Ruler of the universe to remove from the lodge below to the lodge above our highly esteemed brother Aaron Price; therefore be it Resolved, That we bow tith meek submission to the fiat of the Supreme Architect of the universe, acknowledging the right of the Master to dispose of his work as to him shall seem good. Resolved, That in the death of Bro. Aaron Prjice the lodge has lost one of its best and highest ornaments, and his family a prop and support that cannot be replaced, the community ans old and highly esteemed citizen and the church one of its true members. Resolved, That we wear the usual badge of mourning for the spce of thirity days, and that a copy of these resolutions be furhished his family and also thet the Gazette be requested to publish the same. Bro. Aaron Price was born in Tennessee in the year 1812, joined our order in the year 1868 , andcontinued faithful to every trust till called hence by death on the 3rd day of March, 1875. Small (This file was graciously provided by Lou Landry) Dies in Daughter's Home at Ada Valley Mrs. Maggie Price Small, 85, of Rt. 1, Adona, died Saturday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Cas Harrison, in the Ada Valley community. A Native of Chattanooga, Tenn., Mrs Small moved to Perry County as a child. She had been a member of the Methodist Churh since the age of 18. Surviving are Mrs. Harrison; three sons, Lee Price of Epps, La. and Ollie and Berry Price of Adona, 39 grandchildren, 66 great grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. Funeral services were Tiesdau at Ada Valley Methodist Church by the Rev. Eugene Rushing. assisted by the Rev Andrew Moore. Burial was at Cherry Hill Cemetery by Reid Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Will Anderson, Demore Williams, C.C. Jones, Andrew Fudge, Charlie Yargrougth and Mr. Crow. Mrs. Mattie Vivian Thomas, 67 of Bigelow, died Saturday December 24 (1985) She was born May 8, 1918, in Huston, a daughter of Nathan and Lula Dry Price. She was a member of the Holiness Jesus Name HOuse of Prayer. Survivors include five sons. Claud Thomas of Houston Ark.., William Thomas, Allison Junior Thomas, James Ralph Thomas and Aubrey Gene Thomas, all of Houston Ark.: three daughters, Ineta Faye Branscumb and Virginia Meeler, bothe of Morrilton, and Frances McGhee of Bigelow; one brother, Fames F. Price of Roland, two sisters, Marie Hendrix of Perryville and Minzie Morris of Waldron; 27 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren. Funeral services ere 2p.m. Tuesdy at the Bigelow Baptist Church. Buial was at Volman Cemetery by Harris Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Buddy Wayne Daughatry Randy Teasdale, Alan Gails, Ronnie Higgins, Ronnie Presnull and William Presnhnull. She was born August 11, 1889 at Copperas Gap, Arkansas. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church of Houston. Survivors include one son, Harold Bland of Houston; one daughter Mrs. Lillian Wilmoth of Houston; one brother, Elmer Sharp of San Jose, Calif; one sister Mrs. Ola Murphy of Independence, Mo, several grandchildren and several great grand children.
