All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ************************************************************************ Helena Daily World - Phillips County - Wednesday, February, 16, 1916 Mrs. Margaret Ladd Mrs. Margaret Ladd, for thirty years a resident of Helena and one of the most joyable women, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. B. C. Pouncey, at Memphis last night at 7 o'clock, following a stroke of paralysis. The remains will arrive here over the Y & MV railroad tomorrow at 12:30 and the funeral will be held from the railroad station with services at the grave by Rev. I. Clendennin Perkins, minister-in-charge of St. John's Episcopal Church. Interment will be in Maple Hill Cemetery. The pallbearers will be T. H. Faulkner, S. S. Faulkner, T. H. Nelms, C. C. Agee, R. H. Word, R. F. Lipscomb, H. Carvill and Mayor Hugh Martin. Mrs. Ladd was about 58 years old and was one of the best known residents of Helena. She is survived by her father, M. J. Crocker of Helena, two daughters, Mrs. R. C. Pouncey of Memphis and Mrs. George D. Palmer, of Helena and five sisters, Mrs. F. T. Horn, of Popular Grove, Mrs. W. C. King, Mrs. R. C. Howard, and Miss Gertie Crocker of Helena, Mrs. William Shelby of Memphis and Mrs. Hattie G. Rice of Joy, Kentucky.
