Prichard (Joseph Mabry Prichard) J.M. Prichard, 76 died at his home in Lexa last Sunday morning, November 11, after a long illness. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon in the church at Barton, conducted by Rev. T. H. Jordon, pastor of the first Baptist Church in Helena. Interment followed in the LaGrange cemetery with Cunningham and Haraway in charge of arrangements. The following friends of the family served as pallbearers: Tommy Fowlkes, D.S. Wilson, Buck White, Curtiss White, Willie Monroe and George Kloene. Besides his widow, Mr. Prichard is survived by one son, Bruce Prichard of Lexa; three daughters, Mrs. R.O. Ingram, Marks, Miss. and L.S. Ludlow of Barton; two nieces, Mrs. R.S. Martin of Barton and Mrs. E.E. McGehee of Okolona, Miss., and one nephew, W.B. McCraskey of Senatobia, Miss. The copy I have has no date but I do know that his death was November 11, 1934. The newspaper, I have to presume, was the Helena World. Mrs. L.S. Ludlow was my gm.
