BOND FOR MARRIAGE LICENSE

Know all Men by the Presents, That we, D.W. Jackson as principal, and
M.S. Edwards as surety, are held and firmly bound unto the State of
Arkansas, for the use and benefit of the Common School Fund of Polk
County, in the penal sum of ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS, for the payment of
which, will truly be made, we bind ourselves, our heirs, executors and
administrators, firmly by these presents.

Signed this 10th day of October, 1884

THE CONDITION of the above obligation is such that, whereas, the above
bounden, D.W. Jackson, has this day applied to the Clerk of the County
Court of Polk county for a license authorizing the solemnization of
the Rite of  Matrimony between said D.W. Jackson and Miss Sarah E.
Self. Now, if said parties applying for said License have a lawful
right to the same, and if they shall faithfully carry into effect and
comply with the provisions thereof, and shall within sixty days from
the date hereof, return said License to the office of the Clerk of the
County Court of said County, duly executed and officially signed by
some one authorized  by the law to solemnize the Rite of Matrimony,
then this obligation shall be void, but otherwise to remain in full
force and virtue.

STATE OF ARKANSAS, COUNTY OF POLK

To any Person  Authorized by Law to Solemnize Marriage - Greetings:

You are hereby commanded to celebrate the Rite and publish the Bans of
Matrimony between Mr. D.W. Jackson of Arkansas, aged 24 years, and M-
[left blank] Sarah E. Self of - [city name blank crossed through] of
the County of Polk and State of Arkansas aged 19 years, according to
law; and do you officially sign and return this License to the parties
herein named.

CERTIFICATE OF MARRIAGE
STATE OF ARKANSAS
COUNTY OF POLK

I, G.C. Smith, do hereby certify that, on the 12th day of Oct. A.D.
1884, I did duly and according to law, as commanded in the foregoing
License, solemnize the Rite and publish the Bans of Matrimony between
the parties therein named.

CERTIFICATE OF RECORD
STATE OF ARKANSAS
COUNTY OF POLK

I, W.J. Davis, Clerk of the Circuit Court, and official Clerk of the
County Court, and Recorder of said county, certify that the above
License for and Certificate of the Marriage of D.W. Jackson and Sarah
E. Self were, on the 26th day of Oct., 1884, filed in my office and the
same are now duly recorded on page ? of Book "D," of Marriage Records.
