I, Clement Davis, in view of the uncertainty of life and the certainty of Death and being in my right mind, do make and cause to be made, this, my Last Will and testament, revoking all former Wills and testaments heretofore made. First, I give and bequeath to my beloved Wife, Mary S. Davis, the use and control of all my real Estate and personal property during her natural life except such property hereafter named in this will as gifts to the parties named below. Ê Second, I give my daughter Martha M. E. Givenes one horse saddle and bridle, one cow and calf, out of my property after my death. Third, I give to my daughter Sirena R. E. Davis one horse saddle and bridle, one cow and calf, out of my property after my death. Fourth, I give to my son Farris B. H. Davis one horse saddle and bridle, one cow and calf, and at the death of my wife and his mother, all my land known and described as fowlers [follows] and being in the Washington Land district, Polk County, State of Arkansas: the NW Quarter of the SE Quarter of Sec. 18 in T. 6S R. 28W containing forty acres; SE of SE of 18, T. 6S R. 28W forty acres; also SE of SW of 18 T. 6S R. 28W forty acres; also SE of the SW of 18, T. 6S R. 28W forty acres; als[o] the SW of the SE of 18, T. 6S R. 28W forty acres; also the SW of the SW of 18, T. 6S R. 28W; also the NW of the NE of Sec. 19, T. 6S R. 28W, containing in all two hundred and forty acres, the fourth cause of this will is not to take effect so far as the land is concerned untill after the death of my wife, Mary S. Davis, the other part to take efect [at] my death. I, Clement Davis, declare the above to be my last will and testament. Alexander, Clerk Ê COUNTY OF POLK THE STATE OF ARKANSAS To all Whom these presents shall come, Greetings: Know ye, that the last will and testament of Clement Davis of Polk County, deceased, has been exhibited in due form of law, proven and recorded in the office of the Clerk of Probate for Polk County, a copy of which is hereto annexed and in as much as it appears that Mary S. Davis has [been] appointed Executrix in and by the last will and testament and to execute the same and to the end that the property of the testator may be preserved for he who shall appear to have a legal right or interest therein and that the said last will may be executed according to [the] request of the testator. We do hereby authorize her the said Mary S. Davis as such Executrix to collect and secure all and Singular the Good and Chattels, rights and credits, which were of the said Clement Davis at the time of his death, [and] in Whosoever hands or possession the same may be found, and perform and fulfill all such duties as may be enjoined upon her by said Will so far [as] there shall be property and the law charge her, and in general to do and perform all other acts which now are or hereafter may be required of them, by law.
