Transcription of John S. Bowden's bible

Note:  This is a very faint bible record.  Brackets were used
when the writing was unreadable.  John S. Bowden, son of John Bowden 
and Anna Blackburn, was one of six sons of the couple to immigrate to 
Pope County, Arkansas.  

John S. Bowden was born Sept 1812 in Oglethorpe County, Georgia.  
The family then moved from Georgia to Lawrence County, Tennessee.  
According to Pope County, Arkansas, tax records, John S. Bowden 
was in Pope County by 1844.  He was the first of the six sons to 
immigrate.

M. A. Bowden was born August 6, 1860

Reva received the bible record from T. L. Bowden of Huntsville, AL. 
It is not known where the bible is presently located.
