Turn left on Atkins Bottom Road and go east for 2.2 miles to junction. Turn right at junction and go 2.3 miles to Willow Bend Road. Turn right on Willow Bend road and go 1.4 miles to a pair of post on your left with a cable across driveway into field. Cross cable and walk north for 150 yards along west side of timbered area and old house place. Located under 20 feet by 30 feet concrete slab on your right in undergrowth. Bell, W. F. born 19 May 1825 North Carolina - died 01 Jan 1865 Atkins, Arkansas husband of Amanda, father of Robert F., Dollie Elizabeth and Cleophus Bell, Robert F. born 23 Jul 1851 Mississippi died 14 Apr 1870 son of William F. Bell and Amanda. Note: there are four names placed in this concrete slab with marbles. I don't know if they are interred here or were living in the area when the slab was pour on 07 Oct 1947. These names are: Anna, Alverado, Mars, Thomas. Note: Amanda Bell remarried on 21 Mar 1866 in Pope Co. Bk D page 121 to Thomas S. FAUCETT. His name was spelled FOSSETT in the marriage book. Amanda and Thomas S. FAUCETT are interred in Atkins City Cemetery. Our thanks to Tommy Wade of Atkins for locating and cleaning up this cemetery for us.
