Pope County, AR-Cook Cemetery Submitted by Evelyn McAlister ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- COOK CEMETERY Twp. 9, Range 22, Section 12 This cemetery is about 3/4 miles from the county line with Johnson County. It is south of Ross Road. Take Hwy 359 out of Lamar. At the junction of Hwy 315, check your odometer and continue on Hwy 359 for 1.3 miles to Ross Road. Turn left and drive 1.4 miles to a farm with the house on the left and the barn on the right side of the road. You will have passed a burned down house on your left before you get to the farm. The cemetery is about 300 yards south of the barn as the crow flies. The cemetery road is kept locked for security reasons by the owner, Mr. Calvin Griggs. The cemetery is fenced with wire and barbed wire atop the original stone wall. The cemetery is not visible from Ross Road. It is on a wooded knoll of about 1 acre. There are about 100 rock markers and fewer stones. A restoration effort is underway and assistance is needed. BELLING, Kuno 1850-1912 (William Herman John Leo Kuno Belling; b.
