Turn left on 1801 and go for 1.4 miles to Forest Service Road 1805. Turn right on 1805 and go 6.2 miles to Forest Service Road 1808 (Indian Creek Road). Turn right on 1808 and go for 6.9 miles. One grave on the right side of road, about 75 yards from the road. This grave usually has enough flowers on it that it can be seen from the road. John Henry Freeman 1868 - Aug 1919 He died at the Bluff Springs Community in Pope County, Arkansas son of Mose Wineburg Freeman and Minerva Hobbs husband of Rebecca Elizabeth Dunlap married 09 Sep 1886 Book F page 235 Pope Co. AR children: William Jackson, Martha Jane HULL, Sarah Julie DILLoN, Nattie Emoline MILLSAPS HICKS ENGLISH, George Washington, Jesse James, Louis, Rachel MEDLIN, Mose. Members of this family tell that John Henry Freeman picked out the place where he wanted to be buried on his homeplace long before his death. His family carried out his wishes and buried him here.
