Adam Furr who came to Arkansas about late 1859 from Stanly County, North Carolina. His young daughter was age 1 born in North Carolina in the 1860 census. From the junction of Highway 7 and I-40 in Russellville, go north on Highway 7 about 4.2 miles to junction of Morgan Road. Turn right on Morgan Road, go 1.6 miles to Furr Cemetery sign on left. Cemetery is about 75 yard north of Morgan Road. Mr. Ralph Bane, who lives across the road a short distance east of the drive to the cemetery, has cleaned this cemetery, gotten permission from the forestry company who now owns the land around this cemetery, and has erected a monument at the entrance and built a fence around an acre of land for this cemetery. He keeps this cemetery cleaned up and mowed. Mr. Bane has also erected small markers on graves that at the time we copied this cemetery had no markers. We copied this cemetery on 01 October 1994. Heslin, John Albert "Al" 30 Aug 1934 - 27 Mar 2004 Mr. Heslin was a friend of Ralph Bane. Mr. Bane contacted the descendents of the Furr family to ask permission for Mr. Heslin to be buried in this old cemetery.
