This cemetery is loced approximately 175 yards northwest of the north fence of Rushing Cemetery. There is a cattle feeding path to the right just before arriving at Rusing Cemetery. It goes around the edge of the hill and across the branch and back up the hill. This cemetery is on the left about 75 yeards above the branch, in the trees. Approximately 45 to 50 graves with none of them marked. It was the fist cemetery used by the Rushing and Hays families when they arrived in Pope county, prior to the Civil War. I have been told that since we copied this cemetery the landowner had completely destroyed all the rocks and cleared off this cemetery. The information given here is taken from various histories in the Pope County History Book, plus infromation from Pope County Census.
