All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm *********************************************************** From the Junction of Highways 27 and 164 in Scottsville, go north on Highway 164 for 1.2 miles to the junction of Gunter Mountain Road. Turn right on Gunter Mountain Road and go east for 3.2 miles to the junction of Gunter Mountain Lane. Turn left on Gunter Mountain Lane and go north for 1.2 miles to gate on Loren Langford farm. Go through gate for about 1/4 mile and make a 45 degree turn to left for another 1/4 mile. Cemetery located in a small grove of trees near backside of pasture. Approximately 9 to 12 graves, all marked with native sandstones. The following list of names are said to be buried here. Absolom Sims 10 Jul 1791 24 Feb 1863 He was born in Hawkins Co. TN son of Parish and Grizel Sims husband of Catherine Keiser married 20 Mar 1817 in Alabama Catherine Sims 05 Nov 1796 No date known She was born in Pennsylvania wife of Absolom Sims children: Mary Williams, James Martin Mary Snider 1830 1866 maiden name Agnew wife of Peter Snider married 04 May 1848 Henderson Co. Kentucky children: Mary Elizabeth ROSS, James Mitchell, Sarah Ann STANFORD, Katherine Virginia WOOTEN, John David, Robert William, Joseph Henry, Infant and George Martin Note: She has a memorial marker in Boiling Springs/ Campground Cemetery, but actual burial was here, according to family sources.
