All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm *********************************************************** Courier Democrat, Russellville, AR, Feb. 1, 1994 Miss Nora Edna Beal, 92, of Little Rock, formerly of Pope County, died Monday, Jan. 31, at Williamsburg Retirement Center at Little Rock. She was disabled after working 27 years for the federal government in the US Treasury Dept., Dept. of Interior, and the General Accounting Office in Washington, D.C., Denver, Colo., and St. Louis, Mo. She was a former resident of Gumlog, Pottsville, and Russellville, daughter of the late Andrew Jackson and Margaret Pauline Diehl Beal, and a charter member of Chapter 984 of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees. Prior to the government work, she was employed by Missouri Pacific Railroad in the superintendent's office. Survivors include a niece, Okla Loveles of Little Rock and a nephew, Jim Chronister of Russellville. Funeral will be at 2 pm Wednesday at Humphrey Chapel by the Rev. Franklin Chesnut. Burial will be in Old Baptist Cemetery by Humphrey Funeral Service. Memorials may be made to the organization of the donor's choice.
