Martin passes away early last night LONDON, June 5, - John J. Martin one of the county's oldest and most Respected citizens, died here last night after a lingering illness. He had not been in good health for several months past and his end was (not) unexpected. The funeral services were held this afternoon and the interment was at East Point cemetery, 5 miles north of London. Mr. Martin was about 76 years of age and had lived here for many years. He is survived by his wife and eight children, all of whom were present when the end came. The children are: Jess M. Martin of Russellville; G. R., Joe P., L. G., J.N., and L. Martin, of London and Mrs. Belle Vinson, Mrs. Lou Epperson and Mrs. Charley Goodwin of London. Mr. Martin was a life-long member of the Baptist church and the funeral services were conducted by his pastor.
