Williams, aged thirty one years and six months. The numerous friends of the deceased will hear of his sudden death with sincere sorrow, cut off, as he has been, in the prime of manhood. From his early youth he was a resident of Little Rock. At the commencement of the war he was one of the first to enlist, and to the last day held out faithfully in support of the cause he believed just. He attained the rank of first lieutenant of light artillery in Marshall's Battery. He always maintained the esteem, confidence and respect of his comrades in the highest degree. A good soldier, faithful comrade and estimable gentleman, he has gone to his long rest. Peace to his ashes.
