(Includes photo) Ellis Homer Nixon - Funeral services fro Ellis Homer Nixon, 724 Jackson, who died Wednesday, were to be conducted at 4 p. m. today in Pulaski Heights Presbyterian Church, by the Rev. S. F. Bryant. Pallbearers are: Active - E. H. Taylor, Texarkana; James M. Ray, Scott; Carl Reberds, Shreveport, La., and Walter Pyburn, C. J. Frick amd Walter Talbert, Little Rock; honorary -- Elders and deacons of Pulaski Heights Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park by P. H. Ruebel & Co. Mr. Nixon was a veteran of World War I and had been Little manager of B. F. Avery & Sons Machinery Co. for a number of years. Additional Comments: Ellis Homer Nixon was born 4 October in 1893 in Haralson, Coweta Co., Georgia to Charles Bartow Nixon & Ida Elizabeth Pennington. He died in Hot Springs, Garland Co., Arkansas, though his residence was Little Rock, Pulaski Co. Arkansas. He married Mary Hannah Meek, daughter of James Matt Meek, about 1921. They had one documented child, Marilynne Nixon, born ca 1928 most likely in Little Rock, Pulaski Co., Arkansas. This obit was in a scrapbook that belonged to my husband's Great-grandmother, Dollie Bob (Hardy) Nixon, wife of Ellis's brother, Otis F. Nixon, Sr.
