Obituary: Dr. George R. Weeks, a native of Ohio, who took notable part in the
civil war with the 25th Regiment of Ohio Infantry, US Army, as Asst. Surgeon, is
dead at his home in Los Angeles, Cal., aged seventy six years. He had held
several important State and municipal positions in Arkansas, and for a time was
President of the National State Bank of Little Rock. New York Times, Jan. 2,
