      BOND FOR MARRIAGE LICENSE
   Know all Men by these presents, That we "Geo L C Johnson" as principal, 
and " A [P] Johnson" as security, are held and firmly bound unto the State of 
Arkansas,f or the use and benefit of the Common School Fund of Randolph 
County, in the penal sum of ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS, for the payment of which well 
and truly to be made, we bind ourselves, our heirs, executors, and 
adminstrators firmly by the presents.
   Signed this "18th" day of "Jan" 18"78"
   THE CONDITION OF THE ABOVE OBLIGATION IS SUCH THAT, whereas, the above 
bounders "Geo L C Johnson" has this day applied to the Clerk of the County 
Court of "Randolph" County for a License authorizing the solemnization of the 
Rite of Matrimony between the said "Geo L C Johnson" and "Ada Ann Starling" 
Now if the said parties applying for said License have a lawful right to the 
same, and if they shall faithfully carry into effect and comply with the 
provisions thereof, and shall, within sixty days from the date hereof, return 
the said License to the office of the Clerk of the County Court of said 
County, duly executed and officially signed by some one authorized by law to 
solemnize the Rite of Matrimony, then the obligation shall be void, but 
otherwise to remain in full force and virtues.       "his"

  You are herby commanded to solemnize the Rite and publish the bans of 
Matrimony between Mr. "Geo L C Johnson" of  (blank) in the County 
of "Randolph" and state of "Arkansas" aged "21" years, and M"iss Ada A. 
Starling" of (blank) in the County of "Randolph" and State of "Arkansas" 
aged "20" years, according to law; and do you officially sign and return this 
License to the parties herein named.
   WITNESS my hand and official seal, this "18th" day of "Jan" A.D. 18"78"

   I, "John R. Chambers" do hereby certify that, on the "20th" day 
of "January" A.D. 18"78", I did duly and according to law, as commanded in the 
foregoing License, solemnize the Rite and publish the bans of Matrimony 
between the parties therein.

County Court and Recorder of said County, certifiy that the above License for 
and Certificate fo the Marriage of "Geo L C Johnson" and "Ada Ann Starling" 
were, on the "12" day of "Feby" 18"78" filed in my office, and the same are 
now duly recorded on Page "286" of Book "D" of Marriage Records.
