Samuel John Anderson, 85, of Benton died Saturday, July 22, 2006, at St. Vincent Doctors Hospital in Little Rock.

He was born Sept. 3, 1920, at Louann in Ouachita County.

Mr. Anderson was a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church in Benton. He was a retired truck driver for Holicer and Jones Co.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lee W. and Victoria Reeves Anderson; and his wife, Magnolia Iverson Anderson.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Mount Zion Baptist Church in Benton with the Rev. Lewis Justice officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Benton.

Visitation will be from 3 to 7:30 p.m. Friday at Brown Funeral Home in Malvern.

The family will be at 2020 S. Park St. in Little Rock.
